  6. After about 15 minutes, when the rice is creamy and cooked but still has a slight bite, stir in the sliced mushrooms.
  7. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the mushrooms to soften and release their flavor into the risotto.
  8. Remove from heat, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
