  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Sauté for a few minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta and the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
